More people are addicted on social media, especially teens.
Social media use has skyrocketed over the past decade and a half. Whereas only five percent of adults in the United States reported using a social media platform in 2005, that number is now around 70 percent.
Social media creates illusion that we are connected with friends, but in reality we are so apart from each other. The same algorithm shows our friends different feeds. Social media platforms have model of our interest and show us information which will keep us longer on platform to grab our attention and sell it to advertisers

By triggering negative feeling social media companies can easily manipulate our behavior and longer keep us in on platform.

How to create chaos with Social media
With help of social media you can target and advertise wrong information and convince people to believe in it.
For example:
In facebook group i can find 10 people who believes that earth is flat, use facebook lookalike audience and target more people with the fake ads which shows that earth is flat and get more engagements.
With help of social media one country can interferer elections in different country. (for example presidential election in 2016 in America)
Social Media have created behavior model of us and can manipulate on us and get certain reaction.
Those platforms are so big that it is already out of control. They have everything about us.
Conclusion
