How “ Shark Tank” TV show helped me to get my startup idea.
I always wanted to start a startup, but was always busy and never had a valuable idea, which will be the revolution. In last year I was constantly changing my job place and had to move several times. The result of my every move was that I was finding a better job.
Here is how my life was changing in one year:
Roommate -> Studio -> 1 Bedroom apartment -> 2 Bedroom Apartment.
Every single move was getting harder and harder and job more routine and hard. As a fun, I was watching different videos on youtube and poked show “ Shark Tank”.
This activity became my hobby, it was funny to watch how stupid ideas can bring money, entrepreneurs overprice company valuation, how shark tanks were arguing, blaming and etc. This video still stays my lovely one:
I started it as a fun, but at the end of the day, I started trying to find my startup idea, but be honest I was so weak and never believed that will do it.

I was keeping to work as a network and system admin and almost gave up. Had difficult integration projects, a lot of stress at work, project deadline and as always Cisco software had tonnes of bugs. Forgot about shark tank, and was preparing to change job and move out. (at that time I already received a new job offer)
This time, moving made me crazy, I started my preparation in a month advance, was googling, yelping, asking recommendation in facebook, waiting for the quotes. Every single moving company had a different estimate, the price range for 2 bedrooms was $549 — $883 just for the labor. I started looking to rent out u-haul, and ask my friends to help me out, as a cheaper solution.
Did i hire a moving company or rent u-haul?
Yes of course, I took u-haul and asked my friends to help. At the final day, my friend got the issue with the vehicle and bounced to help me.
Ta-ta-ta-tam. I am alone, what to do, go back and call to moving companies, and ask to help. Guess what? Some companies said that do not have time this week and need to schedule upfront, some doubled rates (because it was last minute request). Fuck you guys!!!
I was very mad, mad on the friend, mad on the situation, mad on moving companies. And suddenly kept my self on the idea why there is no service like uber for moving with fixed rates.
A-haaa Moment! Here you go
I repeated a couple of times “ uber for moving” and thought Why not. It was my startup idea, and I was sure that there are more people who had the same problem which I had.
Once in ‘Shark Tank’, Arrogant Kevin said “ Business idea comes when you do not expect it”
